This female ocelot was being cared for at ARCAS which is a rescue and rehabilitation centre in Guatemala. Hopefully she has by now been rehabilitated into the wild. Wild animals are not pets. The animal trade only causes death and destruction.
Proceeds of the sale of this piece will go back into the rescue
*Prints wont be available until I’ve completed the large version of this ocelot. However, this original is for sale. Contact me for details.
Zebra, 23″x30″, ballpoint pen on paper.
This Zebra drawing has been a satisfying yet labour intensive project. The finished piece will be large, dramatic and naturally beautiful. The Zebra is naturally designed to be a beautiful, graphic, black and white, piece of art. I’m merely just observing the beauty of nature.
The original piece will be for sale, please contact me for first right of refusal.
Did you know that bees pollinate a third of everything we eat?? They do so much for us and we poison them with pesticides. I eat organic for the sake of this little guy and our future!
A percentage of the proceeds from these bees go to a local Texas Bee Rescue.
Ron #2, 18″x23″, ballpoint pen on paper
Ron #2 was a large project that took 80-100 hours to complete. He was the same Giraffe that I drew a portrait of in 2016. His name was originally Tambo and he lives at a huge open range zoo near Adelaide, South Australia. He’s a great breeding bull and shows his age in his beautiful bumps and horns all over his face. He was wonderful to draw. The original drawing has been adopted but a small number of special edition prints of different sizes are available for purchase. A percentage of the proceeds go to Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation.
Zebra, 24"—29", ballpoint pen on paper. 200+ hours.
Three Legged Ocelot
Three Legged Ocelot, Ballpoint pen, 11”x14”. (SOLD)
I met this ocelot in at ARCAS (an animal rescue and rehabilitation centre) in Guatemala, he lost his leg in captivity. Because of that he’s deemed un-releasable. Another sad story from the animal trade.
Proceeds from the sale of this piece go back to ARCAS to help them give Three Legged Ocelot the best life possible.

I was commissioned by Big Medium to draw an Osage orange for the West Austin Studio Tour 2018 Catalogue. It was an interesting and beautiful botanical study.

The Strength Within
The Strength Within, 22″x 22″ Ink on archival paper
When asked to be a part of the show ‘Eternal Return’ and told that the theme was ‘Ouroboros’ I was immediately flooded with inspiration. What does Ouroboros, eternal return or more importantly ‘rebirth’ mean to me? I was swept up with the idea of ‘the strength within’. The power of rebirth is in us entirely, we need nothing else, no one else but ourselves to recreate, heal and strengthen. When coming up with the idea of how to portray this in a drawing, I teamed up with a beautiful, strong yogi and ended up with this pose. Something as simple as a circle, the eternal return, the body and the shadow. It just seemed right.
Eternal Return is a two day multi-media themed art show and wellness event starting at 4.30pm on Friday the 28th October in effort to raise awareness for Hospice Austin. Show is located at The Monstrosity Gallery, 2514 Wilson St, Austin.

Giraffe is the Measure of all Things
‘Giraffe is the measure of all things’ 29.5″ x 22.5″ – ink on paper
Protagoras said (a very long time ago) ‘Man is the measure of all things’, but did he meet a Giraffe face to face? This piece is a play on the idea of Humanism. It was very enjoyable to create this standoff between two glorious ladies in different species.
‘Strength’, Charcoal on paper – $175
I have been told by many of my past instructors to ignore muscles when drawing woman because woman should be soft, gentle and feminine. Fuck that, we’re creating the new woman.
Beards and the Bees
Let me tell you a little story about the Beards and the Bees…
Did you know that bees help to pollinate a third of what we eat? These little guys are pretty integral to our existence. The EPA has now admitted that the world’s most popular pesticides are killing our little friends. If you want to give something back to these hard workers; buy organic.
Multiple sized prints available for purchase.
Study from Life

Age of Enlightenment
Age of enlightenment, 9″x12″ ink on paper
This piece told it’s own story as it came together. I didn’t do any planning apart from the reference shots (something that came to bite me at the end) but I felt like it had a life of its own and came together in a natural way. At the end my lack of planning gave me some issues with the overall tonal composition but with a few master portrait studies this problem also seemed to figure itself out.
The story that came through this portrait is of a young girl who has just come out of the age of darkness (that all teens go through) and come out on the other side, as a beautiful young adult. Finally seeing the light and still holding her virtue. That virtue can mean something different to all of us.
Age of Enlightenment, Ink on Paper, 9”x12”
I created this particular self portrait because I wanted to play with the idea of nudity, sexuality and what we find offensive. I still believe that if I hadn’t of hidden anything then this self portrait would have been less sexual. Hiding something creates desire….
Vacant Chambers, 9"x9", ballpoint pen on paper
Created entirely in ball point pen and a little bit of coloured ink applied with a brush. This guy was a huge endeavour but worth every minute!
Multiple sized prints are available for sale
Study in Ink

‘Lost’ 12″x16″ Pencil on paper.
I couldn’t help but fall in love with this model and the pose. So much beauty and emotion I can only hope that I captured a piece of it.

She likes to use that knowledge in multiple drawing mediums, effortlessly changing between the strictness of pen and ink to the forgiving, fluidity of charcoal. Keep reading...
